The Power of Pink has raised over $400,000 to buy equipment for Pasqua Hospital's Breast Assessment Centre. Through community support in 2015 we also donated funds to Pasqua Hospital and Department of Therapy Lymphedema Service. In 2017, we will also support Brianne Urzada and the Art House Therapy program.
Pam Klein founded the Power of Pink. After treatment for breast cancer she was motivated to do something to support the medical teams who helped save her life. Consider Power of Pink their “tip”. With a lot of help from her friends the Power of Pink launched in 2005. The committee’s goal is to bring awareness to breast health. With your support Power of Pink has purchased equipment to facilitate early detection and post-treatment rehabilitation treatment and programs.
The Hospitals of Regina Foundation manages our charitable giving. They do not receive funding from any level of government, relying on community partnerships and the generosity of our donors to enhance health care at Regina’s hospitals. That’s why, through great partnerships and fundraisers like The Power of Pink, we’re able to make a difference to the lives of countless patients, and their families, for generations to come.
